Online Video games are no exception. While talking to fellow gamers by typing may not be the most social activity in the world it can enhance the experience of the game 100 fold. Forming friendships, which are really simply ‘alliances’ in the video games world make a game that much better.

With the impending release of Halo 3 you can expect far more exiting things to be happening here on Video Games Addictions. In 3 weeks this site will really hot up. You don’t have long to wait till everything is unveiled!

Video Games addictions is a new and fast developing site. There will be forums where you can discuss your favourite video games, sell video games amongst each other, vote for your favourite video games and trade stories on your addictions to gaming.

This site will also have a rotating header! The header is the image behind the title ‘Video Games Addictions’. It will include the best of my screenshots from Counter Strike Source and is going to look amazing! For your screenshot to become part of the header and exposed for 1000s of people to see simply submit your screenshots!

Here are a few mouth-watering screenshots that bring back some fond memories of Halo1. Let them wet your video gaming appetite, then submit your screenshots!.

Video Games Addictions is out to pay gamers the cash they deserve. We will do this by holding weekly Screenshot contests from your favourite Games where you win cash prizes!. At the moment you can enter screenshots for:

1. Counter Strike: Source (PC),
2. Halo 1 (PC/MAC),
3. Halo 2 (PC).

If you want to suggest other games then head on over to the contact page and suggest video games to your hearts content.

You should be able to tell from the title of this post that Video Games Addictions is a young site. The cash prize consists of the money that Video Games Addictions earns (from a number of sources). The first batch of prizes for the screenshot contest reflects that; but they will increase as the weeks go by and as the contest becomes more competitive.

Don’t forget that at this early stage there will be far fewer entries than in the future so you have a much bigger chance of winning the Cash this time!

All entries will be displayed on the homepage. They will be judged by me and my colleague Michael Woo. In the near future a system will be put in place where you are the judges and you will vote!

Prizes:
1st Place: $10
2nd Place: $5

The prizes are for each game. So you can win up to $45 by taking all the prizes!

Payments will be made via PayPal. The more popular Video Games Addictions becomes, the bigger the prizes will be! So tell your friends! If there is a sudden influx of entries those prize figures will suddenly increase!

Rules
- Your screenshot must be saved as a .JPG
- It must not be a thumbnail or a low quality image, because it will become pixelated when displayed on this site.
- If any photoshopping or alteration of the screenshot is noticed you will be disqualified from the contest. In the future there will be a contest category that allows you to Photoshop so save the cheating till then!
- You may enter up to 5 screenshots per game!
- You may have a caption of up to 50 words beneath each screenshot.

Entries must not:
- Contain any nudity, or anything we may deem inappropriate.
- Be altered after they are taken.

Entries should be:
- Funny
- funky
- Spectacular
- unusual

That’s it! I will review the entries within 24hours of receiving them and slap them up onto the homepage. The first batch of winners will be announced on the 1st August 2007.
